I have a mild form of a genetic skin disease called Hailey-Hailey. (You can find information about what it is here: http://www.haileyhailey.com/WhatIsHHD.htm ).
Although most of the time my skin looks completely normal, when stressed by moisture and friction from clothing the cells of my skin break apart and blister. It looks a lot like a bad poison ivy rash. This is not only painful and unsightly, but the broken skin becomes prone to infection.
Several dermatologists tried to help me, usually prescribing high potency cortisone skin creams. But using a steroid cream was worrisome. So in the 1970's when I was in my late teens I experimented using an over-the-counter baby cream to provide a protective barrier against the friction that damages my skin. I found that worked almost as well as what the doctors were prescribing. Years later, that baby cream stopped being manufactured.
So I began searching for a replacement and luckily I came across Formula II skin care cream.
I've found that Formula II works even better than the baby cream ever did! I need just a small amount of Formula II on the areas of my skin that are prone to encountering friction from clothing, and it forms an invisible barrier that prevents damage to my skin.
Hailey-hailey can be a very challenging disease to control. But thanks to Formula II, I actually forget I even have it! It's just that good. I'd recommend it to anyone with problem skin.

I have been using Formula II since I went to the Wound Care Center in Wilmington. It is great for my dry skin and it healed all of my bed sores. When my skin gets dry and starts itching...Formula II is the only thing that takes away the itching. I can't believe I had never heard of Formula II until I went to the Wound Care Center. I now tell everyone about Formula II.

Formula II was used on one of our Hospice patient's sacral II decubitus ulcers with amazing results. It totally healed the ulcer within a few weeks and I am now trying it on other patients. I call it the Miracle Cream!!

"...We began using Formula II for my husband's hands, that were cracked with lacerations and deep wounds that bled. Formula II is the only cream on the market that actually healed his hands....When my children were babies, we used Formula II for diaper rash and it healed the problem overnight....I have been using Formula II on the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes and can see drastic results..."

In October of 2007 I underwent an emergency appendectomy. Because my appendix had ruptured, my surgeon could not close up my incision and I was kept in the hospital for five days with a large open abdominal wound which was packed and drained each day. A large dressing was then applied over the packing and incision and tape applied to hold it .

Unfortunately, I am allergic to tape!!! Each day, when the tape was removed, my skin under it would be burning and very red. Because my incision had to heal from the inside out, my doctor ordered a “Wound Vac” to be inserted when I got home. A visiting nurse came each day, removed the tape, dressing and packing and then inserted the “wound vac” packing. This was attached to a battery-operated pump that continually pumped the remaining toxins and bacteria from my incision BUT IT WAS ALL HELD ON WITH TAPE!

As each day passed, my skin was seriously breaking down and although the nurses would try to re-position the tape a little so that other skin was affected, the pain that it was causing was much greater than the surgery itself. However, every day after the dressing was changed, I would apply Formula II to any areas that were free of tape. It immediately took away some of the burning and redness but, of course, the next day the tape would be put back on that side and a new area would be left open that I could treat.

After a month, the pump was removed and a smaller dressing was finally enough to cover my incision. I was able to apply Formula II to a greater affected area. Although it did take some time for my skin to completely heal, without the application of Formula II I would have had not only the incision scar but severe scarring where the tape had been as well because on many days that area was just raw and bleeding when the tape was removed.

The visiting nurses also noted how well the Formula II worked, even just overnight and I made sure they that told other patients about it and where to buy it.
