Dry skin is defined as an irritation caused by a lack of moisture in the skin. Dry skin is extremely common, especially in the elderly. It develops more often in the winter months when cold air outside and dry, heated air inside may cause a decrease in humidity. The skin looses moisture which in many cases may cause it to crack and peel or become irritated and infected.

Formula II contains mineral oil and water which replace the moisture that your skin needs. It also contains a special combination of three waxes (beeswax, ceresin and paraffin) which have an occlusive nature. Formula II forms a barrier on your skin, holding the moisture in your skin.
