Approximately 5 million Americans suffer from chronic open sores. Chronic wounds are often due to limited blood flow and may become infected leading to amputation. Diabetics and bedridden patients are particularly susceptible to these problems.

Formula II contains mineral oil which helps to moisturize your skin. It is also formulated with three waxes which hold moisture in and provide a protective barrier which is very effective in helping to heal chronic wounds.

  • Chronic wounds are often due to limited blood flow, which can slow the body's own healing process
  • Diabetics are prone to foot ulcers or wounds due to lack of circulation
  • Approximately 750,000 diabetics suffer from some sort of chronic wound or open sore
  • Chronic wounds can become infected, which may lead to amputation
  • Bedridden patients are prone to develop pressure sores or bed sores
  • Pressure sores develop when soft tissue is pressed between two hard surfaces for long periods of time (ex. hip bone pressed into a bed) · Pressure sores are often found in the elderly because their skin is very thin and dry

Benefits of Formula II for Diabetics:
  • Due to the high concentration of mineral oil, Formula II works quickly on severe dry skin
  • Formulated with three waxes that help conserve your body's natural moisture and act as a barrier to prevent further irritation
Pressure Sores:
  • Most barrier creams used to prevent pressure sores contain zinc oxide, which is a good barrier but also a drying agent (elderly already have very dry skin)
  • Formula II has a high concentration of mineral oil, which helps moisturize the thin, dry skin of the elderly
  • Formulated with three waxes that act as a barrier, Formula II also protects the skin while not having any drying effects.
Usage:
  • Apply at least twice a day (morning and at bedtime)
  • If you have an open wound or sore , you may be following a treatment plan from a wound care specialist. Follow their guidelines using Formula II as your moisturizer
  • Diabetics should wash their feet daily with mild soap and lukewarm water. Dry carefully with a soft towel, especially between the toes. Apply Formula II as your moisturizer, keeping the feet soft and subtle. Extremely dry feet can lead to cuts and abrasions that may have a hard time healing.
  • For pressure sores apply as often as needed
  • Formula II may be applied directly on stage one and stage two pressure sores as long as there is no infection
  • Apply around stage three and stage four pressure sores....not directly on the wound
